Stitch and Sandwich

11:00 to 2:00 – meets the 3rd Sat. of every month. Bring your sandwich and the shop provides chips and drink. Bring your project to work on and enjoy the social time

Private Classes

Private Classes are available, one-on-one time with the instructor. You determine the day and time. Call the shop 272-9276 to set up a time. Bring your own pattern or learn a special stitch, whatever you want to learn. The Fee is determined by the length of the session.

Open Stitch

OPEN STITCH - 6 to 8 Wed. evening -No Fee—Open Stitch will only be the LAST WEDNESDAY EVENING OF THE MONTH. It Will NOT be held twice a month.
October CLASSES & SPECIAL EVENTS


ALL YARN FOR CLASSES MUST BE PURCHASED AT YAK N YARN                    

Oct. 1 – 31 – We are collecting new socks for men, women, & children.
All ages, all sizes. This is our 5th year and we have collected between 5 and 10 thousand pairs. Some of the organizations receiving sock: Boys & Girls Club, Doorstep, VA Medical Center, Let's Help, TRM, & USD 501. You can find drop-off boxes at Yak 'n Yarn and stores at the Fairlawn Plaza Shopping Center.

Oct. 14 & 25 – Basket Weaving – Quilter's Tote – This is a two-day class.
9:30 to 2:00. Basket measures: H-13” x L-21” x W-13” Several colors of red available. Fee: $75

Oct. 17 thru 21 – Central Kansas Yarn Shop Hop – 6 shops participating.
Hours listed below. Tote Bags $5 which includes passports. Extended hours, refreshments, lots of kits and SALES!!!

Oct. 21 - Stitch & Sandwich – 11 to 2 – Shop provides chips & drink.
Bring a project to work on and enjoy the social time. No Fee.

Oct. 23 – 9:30-2:00 - Basket Weaving – Closet Organizer- Hang in your
closet to hold items unfriendly to hangers (gloves, hats,)etc Fee $37

Oct. 25- OPEN STITCH – 6 to 8 --Bring project to work on.
HOP HOURS: T, W, T, -10 to 5:30; F 9 to 7; Sat. 9 to 5:30

Learn to Knit and Crochet – call the shop to schedule your class day and time (785-272-9276). Fee: $25 for 3 sessions. Item needs repaired, we can fix it. Give us a call or bring it to the shop!

Classes are being developed weekly so stop by the shop and pick up a flier or provide the shop your e-mail address and we will keep you up with the latest classes and events being offered. If there is a class you would like to take but don't see it on the schedule, let me know and I'll try to offer it. Thank you for supporting this shop! As many of you have said, "it's about time Topeka had a yarn shop!"

WEATHER POLICY . . .If school district #501 is CLOSED due to unsafe driving conditions Yak 'n Yarn will also be CLOSED. Feel free to call the shop 272-9276 to see if we are open. If we don't answer you can assume we are closed.
